ATTENTION! OPEN UAS STUDENT, please read this!

Open UAS students are not eligible for certain national student discounts (VR, KELA, Matkahuolto), and thus cannot receive a student card. VAMOK however offers the Open UAS students studying at VAMK the possiblility of joining as members of VAMOK and utilising VAMOK's local member benefits. VAMOK membership can be verified with either physical VAMOK membership card or digital Slice.fi mobile membership card.

The requirements of the picture The picture must be a faceshot of yourself, your face must show in the picture totally and you must be easily recognisable. So forget sunglasses and funny hats from the picture. However the picture does not have to be an official passport picture, but it needs to be like a passport picture.

5. Terms of accession

Terms of accession* :

I join as a member of the student union and get the permission to use the student card or in the case of a Open UAS student, the VAMOK membership card. I have read the eligibility requirements for student-/membership card and I commit to following them.

I accept that my personal details can be handed over to Slice.fi for the possibility of using a digital student-/membership card and that Slice.fi can send me login details for activating the card.

I also permit that Slice.fi and VAMOK can send me newsletters and notifications.

I accept, that my personal details, study right, membership eligibility and contact information will be verified from the University of Applied Sciences’ student and study register.

I also agree that my membership information will be transferred from VAMOK’s membership register to VAMK’s information systems and from there on to Finnish National Agency of Education’s databanks, like Virta and Koski.
